Thierry Kehou is a writer and educator based in Ann Arbor, MI.  His writing focuses on the identity formation of 1st and 2nd generation African immigrants in the United States.  He is a founding member of the New York French American Charter School in Harlem, the first public French-American charter school in New York City.  He is the recipient of a 2012-2013 US Fulbright Fellowship to France, where he taught English at the Lycee Jacques Brel in La Courneuve.  Previously, he also taught Global History at West Brooklyn Community High School.  Thierry firmly believes that international travel transforms lives.  He was a 2012 and 2013 Echoing Green/Open Society Black Male Achievement Fellowship semi-finalist for his projects aimed at a creating greater access for US populations who are underrepresented in foreign travel.
